We found it incredibly difficult to pick out our favorite foodie blogs because there are so many great ones! But after careful deliberation, we bring you a list of the very best foodie blogs on the Internet. These blogs are unique, visually appealing, filled with delicious recipes, and well written.

There's something for everyone here; whether you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or omnivore, we guarantee that you'll be inspired to start cooking up a storm. Hunt and gather recipes, see restaurant reviews, learn about food presentation presentation, or contemplate what food means in everyday life as you go through this list.

Top Five

  1. The Dog's Breakfast: Rob and Dave are the creative cooks who blog about their Saturday night test kitchen, where they experiment with new ingredients and try new recipes. Sometimes they succeed and other times, well, it's the dog's breakfast.
    • Why We Love It: We love how unique the recipes are on this blog. Lobster ice cream? Curried squash soup with clams and coconut milk? Wild blueberry and vanilla bean panna cotta? This isn't your grandmother's kitchen. If you want to find a really unique recipe to wow your family and friends, you'll see why we put this blog at the top.
    • Favorite Post: Adventures in Ice Cream

    • Why We Love It: Deb's blog is a wonderful resource for any cook. While many blogs may focus on one aspect of foodie culture, Deb includes budget, freezer-friendly, gluten-free, vegetarian, and seasonal recipes along with any other recipe you can think of! We also find Deb's measurement conversion page handy!
    • Favorite Post: Nectarine Brown Butter Buckle

    • Why We Love It: This blog's slick design captured our hearts! But more importantly, this blog also embodies the heart and soul of a family -- not just an individual foodie blogger. Read about David and Luise's culinary journey as they raise their baby girl, Elsa, and fall in love with this family's kitchen.
    • Favorite Post: Beetroot Burgers
  4. Food Loves Writing: Shannalee's mini foodie essays talk about life and everything else, "like a post about green beans that's also about relationships, or a recipe for pistachio soup that's really about celebrating moments." Bulk up your recipe book at home, or if you are feeling like an evening out in Nashville, read up on Shannalee's restaurant reviews.
  5. Voodoo and Sauce: This former professional botanist lives in Portland, Oregon, and dreams up interesting ways to put recipes together. Her user-friendly blog features beautiful photos and unique menus you won't find anywhere else.
